These terms govern your use of bookkeepingbyrose.com (the "Site"), operated by Rose Conley, doing business as Books by Rose ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms.

Informational content only

Everything on this Site — including blog posts, FAQs, and service descriptions — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not tax, legal, accounting, audit, or investment advice, and no professional-client relationship is created by reading the Site.

Books by Rose is a bookkeeping practice and is not a licensed CPA firm. We do not perform audits, attest engagements, or prepare tax returns. For tax, legal, or audit questions you should consult a qualified CPA, attorney, or other licensed professional.

Bookkeeping services

Any paid bookkeeping or financial-operations services are governed by a separate written engagement letter signed by both parties. The engagement letter — not the Site or any marketing material — controls the scope, fees, deliverables, and other terms of the services.

Intellectual property

The Site, including its text, graphics, layout, logo, and code, is owned by Rose Conley DBA Books by Rose and protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark law. You may view and share Site content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Republishing, modifying, or using Site content for commercial purposes requires prior written permission.

Third-party links and tools

The Site may reference or link to third-party websites, products, or services (for example, accounting software platforms). Those references are for convenience and do not imply endorsement. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites or services.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rose Conley DBA Books by Rose will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or reliance on Site content — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oregon, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
